The science of homeopathy is over 200 hundred years old, and is based on the premise that certain natural substances can stimulate the body’s own healing systems – allowing the body to heal itself. Homeopathy is a very unique system of medicine because the ingredients are used at levels that are generally understood to be non-toxic, with no negative side effects.

Each ingredient in Smoke Deter was picked by expert formulators in the field of homeopathy (herbal doctors or ayurvedic doctors). Smoke Deter is natural, safe, and has no known drug interactions. Every ingredient in this product was chosen to alleviate discomfort and help relieve multiple symptoms that can occur when trying to quit smoking. This includes cravings induced from nicotine withdrawal, nervousness, insomnia, cough and increased apetite.

Here is a breakdown of the main ingredients that make up Smoke Deter:

Black Spruce (Abies Nigra) – This relieves hard cough, upset stomach (particularly after eating) and headache. Also useful for wakeful restlessness and nightly hunger pangs.

Nux Vomica (Poison Nut) – Aids in stress-related symptoms, calms hunger and sleeplessness. Fights food cravings.

Avena (Oat) – Creates a soothing action on the nerves. Alcoholic extraction has been used as a nerve tonic and to treat symptoms associated with opium addiction.

Aconitum Napellus (Aconite; Monkshood; Wolfsbane) – Calms anguish of mind and body, physical and mental restlessness, and has been used for dry, croupy cough, tickling in the throat and chest pain brought on with coughing.

Arsenicum Iodatum – Relieves dry cough, bronchitis symptoms and burning sensation in nose and throat.

Ignatia Amara – Named after a Spanish Jesuit who brought the beans to Europe in the 17th century, Ignatta was once a remedy for mental hysteria and the fever and joint pains associate with plague. Relieves the physical manifestations of stress, such as cramping pains in the abdomen, neck or back, as well as sharp-pain headaches and heavy sensation in the chest.

Lung (Pulmo-porcine) – For difficult or labored respiration; relieves lung and bronchial inflammation.Plantago Major – Used for cough and colds symptoms. Causes an aversion to tobacco.

Quibracho – Used for centuries for tanning. In homeopathy, it is used to relieve dyspnoea (shortness of breath), especially in emphasema and asthma.

Stricta Pulomaria (Lung Wort) – Combats the dull feeling and general malaise that often accompanies nicotine withdrawal. Also useful for stuffy-head headache and rheumatic stiffness. Tabacum – Relieves craving for tobacco, dizziness, nausea, confusion and lack of concentration. What others are saying:

“Smoke Deter helps reduce your desire to smoke. It is worth considering as an option for quitting smoking.”

I used smoke deter back in June of 2009 and I have been smoke free since then. I will not say it stopped all cravings, but it did help without nicotine replacement. I would recommend this to others and also say that you have to be strong when doing this. I also used a reward system and had a good support system from my non-smoking husband.

What is your number one excuse for not quitting?

Today I just have a simple question for you and a few suggestions from my personal experiences. I want to find out what the number one excuse is that keeps you from quitting smoking?

Ask yourself this question:

Why have I not quit smoking until now?

Im expecting an answer that goes something like this:

I have not quit smoking until now because, every time I quit, I go back home and see my spouse smoking, or at work my colleagues invite me for a smoke break even when they know I am trying to quit so I break down and can’t resist the temptation.

Or even

I still have not quit even though I know its bad, because I have never ever tried to quit.

Answers like the ones below are really not answers:

1. I am addicted or I am an addict is not an answer, all smokers are hooked on the stuff thats why they struggle to quit (duh)!!!

2. I start craving for them, trust me I craved and felt like crying at times watching the person next to me smoke and just knowing I cant smoke.

The whole purpose of this is to find the weak spot that gets you to go back, hopefully we can go from there to find something to aid you quit. I sincerely want to help you find that answer to help you quit smoking.

I intend to create an application of some sorts that can help you overcome this weakness, so I am looking for a little data to work on. Your help will be appreciated.

Advice from an ex smoker

Just a few words from an ex-smoker to end this post, I did it and so many others have, so there really is no reason why you cant.

I honestly believe hypnosis can help, clinical tests even prove this to be true see this link  (Hypnosis increases your chances of quitting by 66%).

This is why I  have included a quit smoking hypnosis audio program under the free quit smoking aids section. I actually used this myself and let me share with you why I know this works.

I listened to it a couple of times and then tried quitting. Every time I found myself in a situation where I was craving I would take a deep breath and exhale by blowing the steam out slowly. This is behavior I have never done before, I suspected the hypnosis may have worked and listened to it without falling asleep or relaxing as you are told.

I wanted to listen to what suggestions were being made, turns out that one of the suggestions was to take a deep breath and blow it out slowly every time you find yourself in a situation where you feel vulnerable. It didn’t take away the craving but it made it that much more bearable so I managed to stay quit long enough to have quit for good.

I was amazed it worked, of course you got to listen to it at least once a day for 30 days, especially if you are the skeptical type. I did 2 sessions daily for 2 weeks to see these results.

There really is no reason to burn your pockets on any quit smoking products to quit, a combination of hypnosis with a little will to end the habit of smoking from your side is all you really need.
